Musti asked me to send this along to you:
Check out the Pasi Cats this Saturday at the Range Lounge in South Range
from 8PM-midnight for a NON-SMOKING dance event. There is absolutely no
other band like the Pasi Cats in North America--playing "modern Finnish
dancehall music."
Take a major portion of "country music twang", add a lot of soulful
minor-key melody, put in a measure each of Nordic tango, classic rock &
roll, traditional polka and waltz, serve it up with accordion, guitars,
mandolin, bass and drums, and you have a combination that will have you
dancing all night. If your ears don't understand the Finnish lyrics,
your feet will understand the beat and keep you swinging and
two-steppin'. No need to worry about your earplugs--Pasi Cats play for
dancing, not intimidation.
Find out why Pasi sings that "South Range is the music town....!" And if
you have Finnish roots, don't forget to wear your purple and green for
St. Urho's Day!
The Range Lounge--aka, the VFW Hall--is on the west side of M-26, just
south of the downtown intersection in South Range.
