Hey, Lovebirds! This is your big chance to get lucky. Wine and dine your
sweetheart on Valentine's Day at the lovely Michigan House in Calumet,
and then waltz cheek-to-cheek to the strains of Johnnie Perona's
old-time concertina. Have trouble keeping the beat? No problem,
comrades, because Johnnie's official apprentice in rhythm bones and
spoons playing, Randy Seppala, will be tapping and tinkling, and your
feet are sure to follow. Oren Tikkanen will sit in on banjo, or if
requested, may even sit ON his banjo. If you're looking for a Valentine
sweetie, a song advertising your availability may be composed and sung
on the spot--or if you tip well enough, arrangements can be made to not
sing about you.
Want to just sit quietly, and savor the best of traditional Copper
Country folk music with your arm around your honey? That works for us,
too--just do it at the Michigan House this Wednesday, February
14,Valentine's Day with Johnnie and his pals, 7-9 PM.
