Fiddlehead to perform @ Club Showcase!
Fiddlehead is a well-known 5-piece acoustic group that specializes in
Irish/Scottish/Celto-American music with "a little bit of Rock thrown
in". Fiddlehead was formed in February of 2005 and has a great
arsenal of acoustic instrumentalists at their disposal featuring Oren
Tikkanen (manodlin, guitar, spoons, whistle, banjo, vocals), Floyd
Henderson (bodhran, banjo, vocals), Joel Tepsa (rhythm guitar), Libby
Meyer (fiddle), and Matt Durocher, (bass).
You can hear Fiddlehead monthly at the Irish Times in Laurium, and
they will be featured at the Thimbleberry Fest in July. They are
veteran performers having appeared at the Irish Times, the KBC, The
Thimbleberry Jam Festival, the Porcupine Mountains Folk Festival, the
Rosza Center Class Act's Series, Midday at the Rosza, and the South
Range Community Hall.
"We love performing Live music because we like the energy of the
audience and to see people dance and have a good time, and , besides,
we haven't been offered any TV gigs, yet!" "We play everything from
Grateful Dead to Bob Dylan to Jigs, Reels and Polkas, and are
constantly amazed that we don't sound too bad"!!
Don't miss this great Acoustic Happening!
"Brewgrass, Fiddles and Folk"
Friday, April 27, 7:30 PM, McArdle Theater ("Club Showcase")
