A quick update to all the local music subscribers.

Musicians, please post events as soon as you can. This helps get the posts
out to the list early enough not only for the moderator to review and
submit, but also for your potential audience to plan their week.

Everyone, a reminder to keep postings limited to the following:

* Performance events
* Musicians needed 
* Equipment for sale
* General questions or information on local music

Be concise and clearly list what, where, & when.

Finally, in addition to the regular email list, there is a demo calendar
online at:

www.brockit.com/localmusic

This is a live calendar which is updated directly from the postings. Check
out the handful of events posted for this month. There is ability to add
this calendar directly to your own calendar, as well as map link for venues.
At this time, both the service (google) and the method of posting (brockit)
are in test mode. Please feel free to respond with questions and comments.
Hopefully this will be a nice, graphical way to check out the local music
scene.

Bookmark the calendar and forward it (& this email) to your friends &
co-workers, which is especially important in the new school year. Remember
that all new users must subscribe to the list so they can receive postings,
as only gigs will make it to the calendar...
