[local-music] Uptown Swingsters at Pastyfest Saturday

The Uptown Swingsters are bringing their highly entertaining blend of 
swing, Dixie, classic pop, and the occasional polka and waltz to 
Calumet's Aggasiz Park for Pastyfest this Saturday. From 11 AM until 4 
PM, you can dance, sit in the sun, snooze, and munch pasties while the 
Swingsters serenade you, and the world's greatest pasty chefs are judged.

Two of the UP's greatest musicians--John Munson on sax, clarinet, and 
piano, and trombonist Bob Norden--will be backed up by two of the UP's 
most willing musicians--Randy Seppala on drums and Oren Tikkanen on 
guitar, banjo and mandolin--and by one of the UP's most beautiful and 
dignified bass players--Julia Munson.

It's all free--except for the pasties.
