Linda Kermeen, Founder and Co-Director of the
Porcupine Mountain Music Festival, to be held August,
25-27, 2006, has announced the addition of a "busking
stage" to this year's Festival layout.
The busking stage will be an all-acoustic (no
electricity) location on the festival grounds where
interested amateurs and performers alike will have
an opportunity to perform". Buskers will not be paid
by the Festival for performing, however, tip jars are
permitted and scheduled buskers will receive free
admission into the festival on the day of their
busking
performance.
Anyone interested in signing up for a busking slot is
asked to email Linda Kermeen at
porkiesfestival@yahoo.com or call her at 800-344-5355.
Please indicate a date/time preference and the
estimated length of the performance. Please note that
busking slots are limited and will be assigned on a
first come-first served basis. The deadline for
signing up is August 1, 2006 and buskers must have
their slots reserved by the deadline in order to
receive the free admission.
