The Dodworth Saxhorn Band , an authentic turn of the century brass band
complete with period costumes will perform  at the Calumet Theatre Thursday
July 27 at 7:30 pm. A parade down 5th street in Calumet will take place
before the show. 

As America's premier 19th-Century Brass Band, the Dodworth Saxhorn Band is
committed to bringing America's musical past to life by entertaining
audiences with 19th-Century music using period instruments and costumes and
educating listeners about the historical era which produced them.
Formed in 1985 by Alexander Pollack, the Dodworth Saxhorn Band (DSB) is
based in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is a recreation of a community brass band
of the mid-1800's. DSB uses only authentic, antique saxhorns built between
1840 and 1880. They have been featured on Ken Burn documentaries "Baseball"
and "Jazz".

Tickets are $14 ,$12 theatre members $7 children 12 and under.
