Don't forget to come out on Saturday evening to support your local library and enjoy some great music. Music for Media 2006, sponsored by the Friends of the Portage Lake District Library, will begin at 6 pm at the South Range Hall this Saturday, Feb 18. 6-7 is Family Hour with Randy Wakeham doing music just for kids. Starting at 7 pm we have a great lineup of musicians for all ages and tastes: Paul Keranen on alto sax, Lori Honrath with her amazing vocals, High Point Road--a new group featuring the familiar faces of Phyllis Fredenall, Sue Ellen Kingsley, Norm Kendall and Randy Seppala, as well as the well-known local band, Algoma. All of these musicians have graciously donated their talents, so every dollar raised goes directly toward the purchase of listening stations for the new library. Admission is $5 singles, $10 families. Bring a dish to share and enjoy soda from Houghton Pepsi-Cola and coffee from the Cyberia Cafe. Also new this year is a silent auction featuring a variety of
fun items. Bring your checkbook! You won't want to miss this event. For more info, contact Maria Bergstrom, 487-9629
