If you check out the Happenings section of the Mining Gazette today, you may think the Friends of the Library are crazy to go up against Alan Parsons! Please make a note, the date of our Music for Media event was wrong. It will not be this Friday, but next week Saturday, February 18 at the South Range Hall. You won't want to miss the third year of this benefit. This year we are raising money specifically for listening stations for the new library building. The fun starts at 6 pm with a Family Hour featuring Randy Wakeham with music and games for kids. At 7 pm, come bid on a variety of silent auction items and enjoy a great lineup of local musicians: Paul Keranen, Lori Honrath, High Point Road, and Algoma. Admission is $5 for singles and $10 for adults. Bring a dish to pass and enjoy soda from Houghton Pepsi-cola and coffee from the Cyberia cafe. For more information, contact Maria Bergstrom, 487-9629, maria.bergstrom@sbcglobal.net
