The Department of Fine Arts will have The Alan Parsons Live Project  
in residency this entire week.  This includes the production crew who  
have very impressive resumes as well.  All events are free and open  
to the public.



On Tuesday, Feb. 7:

8:00am in Walker 210 ---  Q&A with APLP Sound and Lighting Staff
Gregg Rubin (sound) and Martin Thomas (lighting) will be talking  
about their experience supporting the Alan Parsons Live Project as  
well as other major tours and shows in America and internationally.

11:00am in Rozsa Lobby --- Press Conference

On Wednesday, Feb. 8:

11am in McArdle Theatre --- Production Management with APLP stage  
manager
Brent Jeffers will talk with participants about the organization  
required for getting a tour started and keeping it running as well as  
how to get into that sort of work.

1:00pm in McArdle Theatre --- Recording workshop with Alan Parsons,  
PJ Olsson and Gregg Rubin
Alan Parsons who worked on such ground breaking recoding with the  
Beetles and Pink Floyd along with experienced engineers PJ Olsson and  
Gregg Rubin will share tips and tricks of the trade as well as share  
their experience working with some of the biggest names and at some  
of the biggest studios in the country.  All three also have an  
intimate relationship to the home studio and will provide tips on  
getting the most out of a home studio.

1:00pm in The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts --- Lighting Workshop
Martin Thomas will be showing off lighting set-up for APLP.  Your  
chance to go backstage and see what makes a rock and roll lighting  
design work.



On Thursday, Feb. 9:

3:00pm in McArdle Theatre --- Student Bands interaction with APLP
The Band members will be working with MTU students on how to be a  
good rhythm section.  Come and pick up some pointers.

6:30pm in McArdle Theatre --- Chat with Alan Parsons
Talk with Alan Parsons from a musicians perspective.



On Saturday, Feb. 11:

3:30pm in The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts
Sound System demo with APLP audio staff.  There is some very hi-end  
equipment that has been rented in for this show that Alan's crew will  
be doing demos with as well as talking about what it takes to mix a  
modern rock concert.

This is a rare opportunity to work with top tier artists and see top  
of the line equipment.  Don't miss out.
