IT'S BLUESFEST TIME AGAIN IN UPPER MICHIGAN!
The Marquette Area Blues Society presents the
3rd Annual Marquette Area Blues Fest
Come on over to Marquette County this Labor Day weekend for some great =
blues, delicious food and plenty of fun at the Third Annual Marquette =
Area Blues Fest. The festival is being held on Saturday, September 3rd =
and Sunday, September 4th, 2006 at the Mattson Lower Harbor Park in =
downtown Marquette.
This year's festival features 11 musical acts as well as youth and dance =
workshops, a variety of food and merchandise vendors and more. Gates =
open each day at noon and the music runs until 10-pm.
The musical lineup for this year is as follows:
Saturday, Sep. 2nd
12:30pm - Breaktime
1:15pm - Jeff Lasley
2:30pm - Frostbite Blues Band
4:00pm - Alberta Adams
6:00pm - SAFFIRE - The Uppity Blues Women
8:00pm - The Chicago Rhythm & Blues Kings

1:00pm - The Panaramics
2:30pm - The Flat Broke Blues Band
4:00pm - Reverend Raven & the Chain Smokin' Altar Boys
6:00pm - Ana Popovic
8:00pm - Bernard Allison
The festival will also feature a variety of food vendors selling items =
ranging from Cajun & Creole favorites to Barbeque Ribs, Mexican entrees, =
American classics, desserts and gourmet coffees and more. Featured =
beers at the Beer Tent will be Labatt Blue, Labatt Blue Light, Harp and =
Guinness along with specialty red and white wines.=20
Advance weekend passes are $30 and can be ordered online through the =
Marquette Area Blues Society website at =
www.marquetteareabluessociety.com or can be charged by phone by calling =
NMU EZ Tickets at (906) 227-1032. Advance tickets will be on sale =
through Friday, September 1st.
CHILDREN 14 & UNDER ARE FREE WHEN ACCOMPANIED BY A PAYING ADULT.
Advance Student Discount tickets are available at the NMU EZ Ticket =
outlet at the Superior Dome in Marquette. Discounts prices apply for =
high school and college students and the discounted tickets are ONLY =
available at the NMU Superior Dome.
