[local-music] Items of Interest to Music Lovers at Saturday's Bash! Bash! Bash!

Adam encouraged me to post to this list to let area music lovers and talent 
know about the Copper Country Humane Society's big fundraising event 
scheduled for this Saturday, August 19th from 12-4 at the shelter.

Hannah Bethel will be singing for the crowd from noon to 1.  Enjoy free 
hotdogs and lemonade during this time as well, or maybe something from the 
bake sale.

At 1pm our live auction starts with over 70 items on the block.  Just 
yesterday Eagle Radio donated 4 tickets to the September 9th John Michael 
Montgomery concert at the Houghton County fairgrounds.  The tickets are in 
the third row so you'll have an up close experience with this talented 
performer.

We've also got gift certificates for dining at area restaurants that 
feature live music such as the Michigan House in Calumet.

Of course you're not one-dimensional people interested in only 
music...we've got Redwings tickets, Packers tickets, ocean-side condo 
rentals, regional artwork, and so much more.  In addition to or instead of 
the auction you can enter any of 31 gift basket drawings as often as you 
like.  Tickets are available at the event for $1 each or 30 for $20.  The 
baskets are on display and winners will be announced at the close of the 
auction.  You need not be present to win.

The event is kid-friendly with games, slushies, and a shelter dog fashion 
show planned as well.  Please join us!

The shelter is located just south of the Pilgrim River Steakhouse off of 
US-41, behind the old shelter.
